Associate professor and reader of medieval literature at the University of Düsseldorf for ten years. Since 1993 freelance curator, author, and editor. Numerous single-artist and thematic exhibitions at the Diözesanmuseum of the Archdiocese of Munich and Freising (1998–2005) among other venues, including Kiki Smith, Olafur Eliasson, Lawrence Carroll, Robert Longo, Gloria Friedmann, and Kai Althoff, as well as many others. Project manager for the head of cultural affairs of the City of Munich (1998–2000). Photography expert; co-curator of a Swiss photography collection. 2001 founding partner of “curators.” After working at an auction house, founded own company in 1993 focussing on corporate art consultancy, the creation of private and institutional contemporary art collections, the concept and organisation of exhibitions on international photographers, and the sale of contemporary art. Studied art history in London and Munich, business administration at the European Business School in Oestrich-Winkel, London, and Paris, with semesters in Italy.
